Enterprise COBOL is not tied to the z/OS release level -- there may be more than one z/OS that runs the same COBOL compiler. However, a quick Google one "enterprise cobol" finds this:

and the availability date was August 28, 2009. So COBOL 4.2 could be installed on a z/OS 1.9, 1.10, or 1.11 system. |
