Hi FORCECEP is a one of keyword which can be used during DUMP backup. Also FORCECP specifies that checkpoint data sets resident on the SMS volume or volumes can be logically dumped. Checkpoint indications are not removed from the data set during conversion.
can any one explain in detail & when we have to use this option? |

| I recommend the DFSMS bookshelf, manual DFSMSdfp Checkpoint/Restart to read the details. If you go to the bookshelf and do a document search on checkpoint data, many of the manuals reference the term as well so you should be able to answer all your questions in this bookshelf. |
