Hi

Is it necessary to have 01 DFHCOMMAREA in CiCS program which is called by other CICS modules or else is there any other way we can handle it

Please clerify on it

No, you don't need a COMMAREA. There are several ways to pass data between programs and/or tasks - TS queue, for example.
