Hi,

When I check for VSAM properties in INSYNC & STARTOOL I am able to see it as KSDS but it doesnt have a data or a index component.

How is that possible?

I would guess that these tools only use the cluster name as an entry point and aren't really interested in the component of the cluster.

Expat thanks for your reply.

I figured out that it was due to use of

OWNER(£IAM) )  -

in the define cluster.
