Hi,

I am trying to load a table with the data from a sequential file thru the program DSNUTILB and getting the below error.
what could be the issue ?
DSNU000I DSNUGUTC - OUTPUT START FOR UTILITY, UTILID = STEPXXX.YYYYYYY
DSNU1044I DSNUGTIS - PROCESSING SYSIN AS EBCDIC
DSNU018I < DSNUGASU - JOB IS NOT RESTARTABLE DUE TO -START DATABASE ACCESS FORCE COMMAND
DSNU016I DSNUGBAC - UTILITY BATCH MEMORY EXECUTION ABENDED, REASON=X'00E40018

Please help me to resolve this error.

Hi,

The reason is that , in the middle of the utility execution the TS or DB is force started and you are trying to restart the same job. so it is throwing the error. Ask your DBA to terminate the utility using term command at at the Db2 command promt . and submit the job gain.

hi chinnaraj,
I have faced this S04E error several times. Actually during loading the data to table through JCL - if the load doesn't happen properly then S04E error comes. Please check whether any of the table is in CHECK PENDING / COPY PENDING state or not by DB2 COMMANDS. then restart the job from the top.
Not sure whether this will help you or not.
