Hai ,

I am a new member of this group.

I just want to know the answers for these two questions:

1) How to View the values of comp-3 field in the spool area?

2) If we get an soc-7 error in a program , which has millions of records, how can we know where the soc-7 abend occured?

Thanks

Sri.

Move the COMP-3 field in to a Numeric field and Put Display statement for the numeic field.

Hi Sri,

Next to the Spool dataset that contains the comp-3 data enter SE.
When the dataset displays enter HEX in the cmd line.
Look at the comp-3 data. you'll see someting like this:
Code:

0401
362C

That's your comp-3 data. Most likely, all you saw before you entered HEX all you saw was blanks.
