Hi,

I am triggering my Cobol program through Linux.
I want to trigger one Cobol program such that both the cobol program runs in parallel( like batch processing). Am passing 2 parameters to the called program.
Can any one help me in this

Hello,

NOHUP is a unix command and is not related to cobol. . .

If you more clearly explain the requirement you will probably get more usable replies.

A couple of methods come to mind. . .

1 - set this up with your mainframe scheduling people so that both are run at the same time.

2 - implement jcl that runs a "front-end" copy process (this submitted from unix) that will copy both jobs into the internal reader.

What is the business requirement that these run in parallel? Would not all of the business requirement be met if they ran in one mainframe job with 2 steps and then everything would be less complicated?
