Hi,
Please provide us with the details on what basis you want to split the file?
what is the file type?
which sort product you are using at your shop?

If you are using short
then you can split it
Code:
 SORT FIELDS=COPY
 OUTFIL INCLUDE=(10,2,CH,EQ,C'RJ',OR,
                 10,2,CH,EQ,C'KJ',OR,
                 10,2,CH,EQ,C'TK'),FILES=1
 OUTFIL INCLUDE=(10,2,CH,EQ,C'KN'),FILES=2
 OUTFIL INCLUDE=(10,2,CH,EQ,C'SH'),FILES=3
 OUTFIL INCLUDE=(10,2,CH,EQ,C'IK'),FILES=4
 OUTFIL INCLUDE=(10,2,CH,EQ,C'TK'),FILES=5
 OUTFIL INCLUDE=(10,2,CH,EQ,C'PK'),FILES=6
 OUTFIL INCLUDE=(10,2,CH,EQ,C'NJ'),FILES=7
 OUTFIL INCLUDE=(10,2,CH,EQ,C'MN'),FILES=8
 OUTFIL INCLUDE=(10,2,CH,EQ,C'TN'),FILES=9

here you can create 9 files from one file

Edited: Please use BBcode when You post some code/error, that's rather readable, Thanks... Anuj

santosh100678 -- you've pre-assumed a lot of things in your solution.

nishaik,

With the information you provided to the Forum, Suggest you search on SPLIT1R or SPLITBY in the Forum. There are lots of working example aroud -- pick one of your choice. Note that SPLIT1R is a better choice than SPLITBY.

Alternatively, You can use the technique shown in the "Split a file to n output files dynamically" Smart DFSORT Trick at:
