Hello,
Does anyone know the name of the utility that is able to read records from an archived jes spool dataset? I am not talking about SAR or IOF but rather any IBM utilities. I've look thru the JES2 manuals and found virtually nothing.
Please advise. Thx in advance.
Regards,

a bit generic, it would be nice if You could tell how the <archive> was produced |

Hello,
Every archive system i've seen comes with a process for retrieving/reading things from the archive. . .
As Enrico mentioned, it would help if you post how the archive is/was created. |

Hi Enrico and Dick,
Thank you for replying. I have to believe the archiving is done seamlessly by some internal function of JES2.

most probably the <thing> has been done thru the JES2 spool offload facility
start from
publibz.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/bookmgr_OS390/Shelves/HAS2BK70
and search for "spool offload reload"
it will You give an idea of the process,
but the operations group must be involved ( after all they offloaded the spool entries ) |
