Hi,
Recently i came across a scenario where i had to recover a deleted GDG. The GDG was defined with Scratch and Noempty. As far as i know the Scratch parameter implies that the dataset is overwritten with zeros and so it cant be recovered.
But the data was recoverd using the volume number that means the dataset was only uncataloged.
Can anyone please clearify how the dataset was yet existing even after being declared with scratch.
Regards,
Sajjan |
