Hi,
I have a suggestion.
I don't know whether its feasible or not.
When a new topic is posted, there should be automatic search on the existing topics and their replies to find out whether similar topic exists or not.
If such topic already exists this search result should be displayed to the user and the user should be asked for confirmation / to change the topic little bit.
I think, the keywords for the search per se can be extracted from the subject line of the new topic being posted.
What say forum, moderators ?
After all, this is just a suggestion. I hope it makes sence. |

Hi Dude,
Do you mean something like:
www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en
It's the dream project of Google.

Hey Priya,
Maybe a popup message asking them to search before the posts are actually submitted.

Hi,
I also agree with Senti that "popup message asking them to search before the posts are actually submitted ".
Due to which members first search the topics and after that create a new post. Now a days most of posts come which are already discussed.
Regards
Rupesh |

Popup messages will slow up the page. Better we can warn the new users (like new message notification) to search before posting. |
