Possible problem 1: your DIR command shows a file with name TEST01.ZIP already on the server. Depending upon the server setup and the directory permissions, you might not be able to replace the file.

Possible problem 2: some networks limit file transfers to under a certain size. You need to get with your site support group and confirm that you are not exceeding the file size limit.

Suggestion: add SENDSITE to your FTP before the PUT command to turn off sending the SITE command since your server doesn't recognize it.

Hi,

I guess FTP was timed out because file size is very big and it took more time in transfer.

Try keeping Time out values high or simply remove it. It should work.

Ujjwal.

Ujjwal, any particular reason you think the o/p will be reading this thread seven months after their last post? And which "Time out values" (sic) are you referring to? If you read the Communications Server: IP Configuration Reference manual, there is NO value named TIMEOUT in the FTP configuration parameters -- so what value did you mean? There is a TLSTIMEOUT parameter, DATACTTIME, DATATIMEOUT, and other parameters relating to control timing as well as transfer waits. You must be able to specify exactly which of the parameters you were referring to -- and it would be good to tell why you think changing that particular parameter will fix the problem (especially since you have no way of knowing whether a router configuration issue is involved, as well).

Hi All,

Sorry for my late response. Eventually we found the reason what makes the problem: Network security settings. If any file bigger than 7 MB is transfered as ftp via internet to a location, the network security settings sense this transfer as an attack and terminates connection.

Best regards,

Huseyin
