BATCH? CICS? What language?
It will be usless to answer your question without some more details. Also, you might want to describe your whole process in order to get better responses.

Would you be kind enough to tell us the language you are using?

JCL is not a programming language. You can not read any data using JCL.
However, you can write a program and execute it using JCL. Alternatively, you can use a ready-made program (also known as "utility") and execute it using JCL.

I just want to give one VSAM file in SMF's INDD and OUTDD would be a flat file...

Have you actually learnt anything from your previous posts regarding SMF datasets.
Perhaps if you explained in great detail exactly what you want to do we could help you. |

Why? Just some experiment? How does this relate to SMF?
As Expat asks, -have you learned anything about SMF or VSAM or JCL- yet?
Suggest you need to do much more review rather than just flail away with unrelated/incompatible "things".
If someone understood what you are trying to accomplish, someone might be able to provide a suggestion. I believe you will need to understand much more before this can happen. . . |
