Dear all,
here is a problem when I try to close a file from my cics:
I FI(VMLA)
STATUS: RESULTS - OVERTYPE TO MODIFY
Fil(VMLA ) Vsa Clo Une Rea Upd Add Bro Sha CLO REQUEST Dsn( MAK.VMX.VMLA )
The file icannot be closed directly. On the other side, the file is waiting for this close request. anyone have seen such scene before? Or anybody could give me some advise on this?
I suppose something block my close request. But I cannot be sure that is due to the max task limitation in my cics sip definition reached or the file I try to close is under used by other tasks. Bez in that time, so many txn in the cics and most of these txn will use this log file for logging.
Thanks all in advance! |

Could you go to ISPF and check if this file is being used by any JOB/UserId.
If the file is being used and you can cancel the job which is using this file, then i believe you can close the file. |
