You asked something similar here
ibmmainframes.com/viewtopic.php?p=197349&highlight=#197349
use the same process
or better ask Your support for the standard procedures to be used
allocating a PDS is a task that has been done zillions of times
even googling fo "PDS ALLOCATION JCL" returned many hits with samples
and anyhow jcls are site dependent, so any jcl jcl that we might post
will have to be modified according to your organization standards,
the fastest approach would be just to skip the forum step and ask as I said before
furthermore all the info You need is in the jcl guide and jcl reference manuals that
can be reached from the link at top of the page |

It seems these two points
Quote: |
2. Copy all the members of existiing PDS to the new PDS
3. Delete only the members of existing PDS. |
are contradictory -- if you need to delete all the members of "existing PDS" why to copy them first to another PDS? |

Hello,

why to copy them first to another PDS |
Because they are needed in pdsB rather than pdsA. They need not be in both places.
Copy/Delete accomplishes the "move". |
