ask Your IBM colleagues, do some of the work for which You all are getting paid
also aren' t You, Your manager, the company You work for ashamed of asking for help in a public forum...
You are selling without paying for it somebody' s else skill and knowledge
signed by ...
a retired IBM consultant , proud to have worked for the IBM that was
now it looks like the company is not the same as the one I used to work for
no training, no ethics, no dignity, quite a bit of incompetence and sheer stupidity
didn' t IBM ask You to sign a form were You state that You have read and understood
and agree to the business conduct guidelines ?? |

Hi Enrico,
If asking queries would be the matter of shame, then this commuinty could never survive.
Ullas might have been facing few issues to resolve this problem along with other PL/I colleagues and I am sure they are also struggling to win over this issue.
Though I don't underatnd what was wrong here to publicise this problem. This may assist others also. Correct me if I am wrong, but this's what the objective of this community so far. |

You should have ben taught that when You qualify as an IBM employee
You have responsibilities, You are empowered, You represent, You speak on behalf of IBM, both from a legal and ethical point of view
and IBM is responsible - liable to be called on to answer - for Your words/actions
so when somebody qualifying as an Ibm employee asks for help outside of IBM
it' s not the person who is asking, is IBM itself
I hope my explanation was clear
edited to add a further comment...
when it is common knowledge that You are an IBM employee ( for example You are introduced as such )
talking about certain subjects ( see the business conduct guidelines ) is forbidden and anyway You, as before, represent IBM.
so beware .... |

You need to debug this just like any other error you get -- figure out what happened before the abend, locate what code is causing the problem, and fix it. Without a full dump I doubt we can provide much assistance, and a full dump is going to be too big to post -- you need to work with your coworkers or team leader or site support group to resolve this one. |
