Hi,
I have three files say A , B and C and i have a date field in the 179th column of each file. Earlier we are using File-Aid batch jcl to replace the old date with the new date in to the above 3 files. Since, It got expired we need to look for an alternative. I thought we can do the same with SORT.
Can anybody throw some light on me how i can achieve the above requirement using SORT.
Thnakful for your faster responses.
Thanks

Perhaps if you could post a SORT related question in the correct forum, faster responses may be achieved.
Which SORT product do you use to enable the moderators to do this.
Which format is the date in,
what are the rules for replacement,
What is the RECFM and LRECL of the input files, |
