How to update an IAM file using Easytrieve

The same as you update a VSAM file using easytrieve

I tried the same but I am getting an invalid file error.

WRITE INFILE STATUS UPDATE
*******B054 NOT A VALID FILE - INFILE

Hello,

The current release is R11. The "other" release still supported is 6.4. One of my sites is running an out of support release 6.3.

Are you certain the release is 3.4? What does the copyright info show for the latest date?

All of the info about which release may be academic as i just went thru the R11 material and there is no mention of IAM. There are interfaces to several database systems as well as VSAM, QSAM, and even old ISAM. However, there is no menton of IAM.
