Hi,
I have a Trigger Queue in CICS region. I want to know about transaction it kicks off or the module it calls. Is there any way to get module/transaction name details for the given Trigger Queue using any CICS command or using any other utilities. Thanks in Advance !!!

The CICS transaction processing an Initiation Queue is, typically, CKTI.

The trigger messages placed on this Initiation Queue by WebsphereMQ contain information as to the queue to which the trigger message relates and the transaction that is to be run to process the message. CICS does not provide a means of 'browsing' the Initiation Queue to extract this information. The triggered task's application can RETRIEVE information, such as queue name, that is provided by CKTI.

The best way to find the information you want is to view the Queue, Initiation queue and Process definitions in MQ.

Garry.

Hi Gary,
Thanks for your Quick reply.
I tried with CKTI command in CICS envrionment. Since, I don't have authority, it's popping up a error message. Is there any other way to get the Trigger Queue process definitions using any Batch job , or any other utility, etc ?

Venky,

CKTI is a CICS internal task - you shouldn't try running this yourself.

You could try using the MQ CSQUTIL batch program. Google "CSQUTIL" to see what's available. There's also a TSO interface into MQ which would allow you to interactively view these definitions.
