Hi all,
Please explain the process of DB2 cloning within lpars.
Also it should be done without using tools.
We are able to do across the lpars.
But we want to clone the DB2 within lpar to make it as a testing region. |

If tools are not used, how might this happen?
When you clone across multiple lpars, all of the same values might be used in the definitions. If something is to be cloned within an lpar, the clones will need different names or will duplicate existing entities.
Is there something particular to CA as this is posted in the CA part of the forum.
If you more clearly describe what you have and what you want to accomplish, someone may have a suggestion. |

Hello Vidhya,
do you want to copy existing database structure to any other test environbment on same Lpar?in that case you can use DB2 ADMIN TOOL to gen DDl & then manually change the database names & bpoolsa per your shop standards. |
