Can anybody help me to find the difference between a IMS region being STOPPED and IMS coming DOWN. And the possible scenarios in which these can occur
Thanks & Regards,

Well, OK - there can be 1 to many IMS regions running concurrently. You can stop a region without bringing down IMS. I will assume (?) that you do not run BMP? So, IMS is brought "down" - made unavailable - for a certain portion of the day/night. This is when DLI batch jobs run and backups of the databases are done. |

A transaction runs in a "class" just like a batch job. Regions are not generally "stopped" unless a tragedy occurs.
