Can anybody tell me how can we calculate the TSO COST?
In my shop, we use so many tools like File Aid, Endevor, Xpeditor...

Can anybody give me the solutions or related links... |

Speak to your performance / capacity planning / billing people.
Most shops convert everything, CPU, I/O, Channel utilisation, print volume, ........................ ad infinitum into service units which have a monetary value associated with them.
The monetary value is site specific. Some sites don't even bother working out costs, so you may be unlucky. |

Thanks Expat...
Here I have 2 small questions...
Is there any commands to find the TSO COST?
To copy a dataset, Instead of using the File Aid we can submit the Batch Job. Will the Batch job take lesser cost then File Aid? |

You can get the amount of resources consumed through the TSO TIME command. It shows the current CPU time and Service Units used by your TSO session.
1. LOGON
2. Copy the file with FileAID
3. do TSO TIME command and see the values
4. run in Batch and compare CPU time, etc.
Assigning the cost to those resources is someone else's job. TSO time may be more expensive or Batch time may vary in cost by time of day. |
