Hello. I have a question about the &OUTPRC statement I have copied from an NDM SCRIPT. This script is transmitting a file from mainframe to server (KYLOUFSU01).
SUBMIT PROC=NDMUNIX -
CASE=YES -
SNODE=CDWRCH00 -
&PROCESS=XREFNDM -
NEWNAME=&PROCESS -
&INDSN=LNXT.NBDEVU8.RI.SRT -
&INDISP=SHR -
OUTDSN='\\KYLOUFSU01\SHARED\GLOBAL\LASON\XREF_RI.TXT' -
&OUTPRC=\"CMD(KYLOU2HOST.VBS)ARGS(&OUTDSN)" \ -
&OUTDISP=RPL
SIGNOFF
Is this script executing a Visual Basic Script (on the server) upon completion of the transmission ? If so, has anyone done this ? If so, can someone send me a sample of the VBS script ?
Thanks... |

Hello and welcome to the forum,
Is there some reason you cannot ask the people who receive the file about how the file is processed on the receiving system? |

What does the Connect Direct documentation say?
If your organization is licensed to use the product, the manual should be available for free from the Sterling support site. |

I have in my possession the following PDF's (both from Sterling Software): CDProcessConceptsGuide & CDProcessStatementsGuide.
Neither document discusses this option nor gives an example.
Rest assured I am continuing to reach out to Subject Matter Experts within my company as well as availing myself of all available resources. Wishing however, to cover all my bases, I was hoping to get an answer from someone on this forum who has done this before.
Thank you for your response |

Hi Patrick,
We have some forum members/moderators who have extensive experience with NDM.
Unfortunately, i'm not one of them and it will probably be a while before they log in (the ones i'm fairly sure of are on Eastern time).
From what i've been able to find in the last little while, &OUTPRC is a symbol that was defined locally. It is not an NDM "reserved word" (as far as i can tell). |

Thanks, Dick. I'll just have to be patient. I'll check back tomorrow. Have a good evening. |
