Hi All
I was asked the following questiona in interview as
1. How to look into the data that is stored in segments
some thing like using SPUFI or FILE-AID for DB2 we can see the data in the tables, how to see the IMS database data
2. if u are using ims with cics, what tables u need
something like for DB2 we go for RCT table, for IMS what we need
Thanks

Hi all,
There is a tool called File-Aid IMS. where you have to give the Data and Index sets of IMS and Xreference copybook. Then you can view the contents of IMS database in a formatter way.
You can tranverse thru hierarchies by giveing F4 key. Dont ask how to transaverse upwards as you cant in IMS because it is a hirerarchial database managemant system.
