I would like to facilitate communications between a triggering user task (using U7SVC or SASSTRL) with the Job that was triggered running outside of the triggering tasks address space. I would like to pass a value such as a DB/2 Key somehow to the triggered Job.
The user written task would be triggering multiple jobs with unique data for each job triggered and I would prefer to have one single generic job setup to be demanded in by the triggering task.
Is this beyond the scheduling capabilities? Otherwise I will devise an alternate go between file method. Thanks. |

Hello Dave and welcome to the forum,
Suggest you speak with your scheduling people and learn what options are available.
You should be able to schedule the first job by whatever mechanism and have this job submit the others with their unique data. |

Thank you for a quick response. I don't have any issues getting the job to schedule but I am looking for the best course of action to be able to pass the sheduled job specific information (12-byte key value) when the job is demanded in the system to run. The job is scheduled by another task using U7SVC. Thanks for your help. |
