Terminology is important -- are you talking about MQ series queues, transient data queues, or something else?

There's a link at the top of the page to Manuals. Read the CICS Language Reference on READQ TD, READQ TS, WRITEQ TD, WRITEQ TS and see if you have any specific questions that you can post.

MQ Series is a separate product from IBM that also has queues but they are not the same as TD or TS queues.

Hi Robert,

Whatever you mentioned i.e READQ TD, READQ TS, WRITEQ TD, WRITEQ TS are operations like READ ,WRITE AND UPDATE on the Ques. my query is what is the purpose of using QUes ?

TSQ and TDQs are temparory memory ? If yes ,then ques are using to incease effective use of memory i think. Is it correct ?

Reading thru these documents will help you gaining a greater understanding of CICS API's, components and their use.

Temporary storage control

Transient data control

the above links are for the different types of queues;
