Hi,

I want to know what is the significance of coding wait step(i.e.,IOATEST) after putting Database to the Read-only mode(i.e., using COCMTOA1).

Also i wanna know which are all the places we need to give wait step.

Thanks in Advance,
Sundar.

This is a site specific question. How do we know where to insert wait processes in YOUR environment.

Also, the insertion of wait processes is rather frowned upon by the majority of the site seniors.

The best people to ask would be your peers who may have an idea of the why and wherefor of what happens at your site.

You are using too much local jargon
( which means terminology used at Your site, like IOATEST, COCMTOA1 )
repost using terms that everybody can understand.
if You cannot generalize Your question, it would be better to try to get an answer inside Your organization

anyway having a step with an artificial wait sitting there doing nothing is just a stupid waste of systems resources
