Hi all,
What is meant by refreshing the Production and Test tables?
( This is not a REFRESH TABLE option in MQT)
---Is it reorg or something?
Thanks,
Raju. |

Raju,
While Testing if we want to test with real data from production DBA will load test region tables with the production data.
We called it as Database Refresh.
Thanks,
Amsar |

Hi Amsar,
Thank you so much. Thats what i want. Now i got it.
One small doubt, is this called Database Refresh or Table refresh?
Should we call this as Production Table Refresh or Test Table refresh?
Once again thanks to you.
Cheers,
Raju. |

the terminology is usually site dependent..
my logic would rather say ...
refreshing the test thingy
the production environment having the most recent updates
but as usual the language barrier should be taken into account
when considering the nuances(*) of speech and understanding
(*) from the merriam webster : nuance - a subtle distinction or variation |
