How to search a string in a list of PS files without open

for PDS we have M <membername> to find the member name in alist

similarly can we find a string in list of PS files...

Isn't it ISPF command SRCHFOR, unless I misunderstood something.

our system creates the files dynamically

FX.CXXU.JD%%%.LD%%%%%%.SQ%%,

currently we are having arround 30,000 files, which contains submitter information and amount submitted etc..currently we are in process to find for one particular submitter details...

Ok -- but how does it answer "what solution was used"?
