How can we know cics is up or down

1. how can one know particular person has done testing .

2. how can we know cics is up or down?

please can anybody answer to this these are ibm interview questions.

Answer to your 2nd question :

Not only CICS, any subsystem is a batch job running under MVS. So, you can see in spool if the job is active and conclude that CICS region is UP.

First know the job name of your CICS region. As you see any other job, go to spool and list the job. You will see the job in 'Execution' if CICS is active.

this question had asked in ibm.

suppose he has given something to test .after I give him test result in test case how can he check I have done testing or .
what I told is the test case it self is the proof for that.
he told even you can prepare test case without actually testing how can I check you done testing or not.
please answer back .
