Hi

We are using the IBM Enterprise PL/I PLISAXA builtin routing to parse XML messages. The required throughput is on average 500 msgs/second and we are not even close. Furthermore the CPU consumption is very high.

Does anyone has some number about the expected performance and/or
CPU consumption of this module ?

Thanks

my experience, many times the 'product' did not work as advertised
due to the implementation methodology - the surrounding code.

I would deal directly with the IBM reps/support responsible for PLISAXA.

if anyone can find an excuse - other than PLISAXA - they can.
If they can't, they will just try to sell you more iron.

as an aside: though not a EU citizen, I am living/and allowed to work in germany and am available for consultation.
and no, have no experience with 'this particular piece of software'.

You might want to try PLISAXC, which uses the z/OS XML System Services parser, which became available in Enterprise Compiler V3R8.

I have PL/I code that directly accesses this animal, contact me off the list (I'm sure you can decode the last line of my signature) for details.
