Hi all,
I have JCL that refers to a printer like so:
//TTC OUTPUT DEST=ESF,WRITER=FR56
The PROC for this JCL refers to OUTPUT=(*.TTC) about 90 times
The users dont want to print on this FR56 printer any more. Can I just remove "WRITER=FR56" from the JCL without changing the PROC 90 places? Will just leaving the JCL line:
//TTC OUTPUT DEST=ESF
hurt anything or go to some default printer?
Thanks for the info,
Sharon |

Hello,
Suggest you speak with the people who support/configure the ESF dest.
There may be a default that works well or possibly there is another WRITER defined.
You might also send a small test report to ESF with no writer mentioned in the jcl to see if it prints or is left hanging in the output queue. |
