I'am trying to write a Vb Script to copy all the informtion(entire screen) from Personal Communication to a Notepad.

Say active session or a report is of ' n ' number of pages, which i navigate through F8 and F7 Function Keys for forward and backword. Now this entire report to be exported or copied to a Notepad.

i'm looking for a suggestion, on how to proceed

Thank You.

Change the settings of your printer to "Print to Disk - Append". You can even specify a file name. Then, within the VB Script, use the "Local Copy" command. The screen will be saved to a file.

You can even define your own PDT if you want to alter the results (we built a special Hebrew PDT).

Hi ofer71
Thank you for your quick response. Personal communication screen is in browse mode (restricted access). As you advised to use local copy command, are you indicating to copy or copy append option of Edit menu?

Suppose my report say consist of 5 pages all the pages to be exported to a notepad. it is like from 1st page to end of page, say in run time the loop continues till i encounter end of page (EOF).

if you don't mind can you explain what do you mean by " define your own PDT "

[button] print screen = [script] local copy.

Regarding PDT - when you use the HELP menu of PCOM, you can find lots of information about PDTs.
