Hi,
Is there anyway to access IMS(DB) the way we access DB2, using SPUFI or QMF ? If yes, which is the tool ?
I tried searching in the IMS DB/DC forum but didnt find anything. :-(
Thanks

Hello,
If your system uses File-Aid from Compuware, there is an IMS feature available. |

Pardon my ignorance -- but which "tool" you are talking about here? Did I miss something? |

On this board, I never used "subject-box" to post my replies, so did not realize that can be a place to put up your responses. . . |

Inference from this sentence seems correct -- though, IMS is not a language. IMS supports hierarchical databases, data communication, translation processing, and database backout and recovery.
I'm not aware about "imsxpert" but as suggested earlier by Dick, if your system uses File-Aid from Compuware, there is an IMS feature available. Do you have some URL to imsxpert' vendor? That would help us. |
