Hello and welcome to the forum,
An Excel spreadsheet typically cannot be uploaded to the mainframe as an excel file.
The spreadsheet needs to be saved to a delimited text file and then uploaded to the mainframe. Suggest you pre-allocate the file on the mainframe with a large enough lrecl. |

Usually I do the same what Dick has said -- "Save As" and select type .CSV and then upload to the Mainframe as TEXT.
You can search the Forum with key-word "excel" to find the other thread on similar topic, one such link is this: www.ibmmainframes.com/viewtopic.php?t=36170&highlight=excel among many.
Hope this helps. |

Hi ,
Convert your Original excel file into Comma Delimited file by
just saving ur excel ie.. Save as - file type (comma delimited).
Now it is possible to transfer ur file into the data set with the original
contents of ur excel file. |
