Hi,
While using XPEDITOR for IMS Online i am having problem when 2 users debug same transaction at same time.
The XPEDITOR Manual states that "Unless IMS User ID Support or IMS User ID/Data Value Intercept Support is enabled, two users cannot debug the same transaction at the same time"
So here in this case how to enable IMS User ID/Data Value Intercept Support in XPEDITOR. |

Hello,
Not the answers you want, i'm sure - but:
What does the documentation say? Does this feature automatically install with the product or is it an add-on?
If there must be 2 people doing this at the same time suggest you create a second transaction - and a second set of source code so things aren't made worse. |

I am curious -- why must more than 1 person be Xpediting this program at the same time? |

Hi,
I can understand that more than one person may be running the sames transaction - for example one person may be running the transaction (say, TRNA) to create data for testing another transaction (TRNB). Another user may be actually testing that same transaction (TRNA).
Now, to ensure that Xpediter intercepts the transaction being tested, it has to be able to uniquely identify that specific occurence of the trasaction. Xpediter provides a means of doinf this by checking the USER-ID of the user who initiated that transaction. To activate this capability, the IMS User ID Support MUST be activated. This is done at installation time. If this is not active at your site, you should contact your systems programming team and ask them to implement this support.
Once set-up, this is really easy to use. I think the guys at Compuware have done a great job here. I find this really useful.
Cheers.
