Hi,
I try to avoid my cics registing some dump info. into syslog so I set the 999 parameter to 000(use cemt i syd). as below:
from:
I SYD
STATUS: RESULTS - OVERTYPE TO MODIFY
Syd(SM0102 ) Sys Loc Max( 999 ) Cur(0001)
Syd(SR0001 ) Sys Loc Max( 999 ) Cur(0016)
to:
I SYD
STATUS: RESULTS - OVERTYPE TO MODIFY
Syd(SM0102 ) Sys Loc Max( 000 ) Cur(0001)
Syd(SR0001 ) Sys Loc Max( 000 ) Cur(0016)
But these days, I suddenly found the SR0001 abend is log into the syslog again. and the '000' is change back to '999' again.I wonder if there are some possibility the abend is automatically write into log again, regardless considering some man made change. (ie. some high prio parameter in the system setup could change the '000' to '999'?) if it's man made cause. how I can get the clue/msg to see the action taken by? Thanks a lot! |

Rather than set the max dumps to zero, you should set the dumpcode to NOSYSDUMP in the system dump table.

Did you change I SYSD on your first line to S SYSD? Inquiring and setting are two different operations. |

confirm that 'Inquire' mode also could change the parameter. It should be ok. |

Try entering CEMT S SYDUMPCODE and you will see the parameters available.
Code: |
S SYDUMPCODE
STATUS: COMMAND SYNTAX CHECK
CEMT Set SYDumpcode()
< ALl >
< SYsdump | NOSYsdump >
< Local | RELated >
< SHutdown | NOSHutdown >
< Maximum() >
< RESet | REMove | ADd >
< Dae | NODae >
|
Code: |
S SYDUMPCODE(XX0001) NOSYSDUMP
STATUS: RESULTS - OVERTYPE TO MODIFY
Syd(XX0001 ) |
