SYNCSORT sort data between header & trailer

I'm trying to sort only the data records in between the header and trailer records.

You say that you are using SYNCTOOL, but did not post the error message codes

If they are ICE messages then you are using DFSORT
If they are WER messages - Syncsort
If they are CA messages - the CA Sort

Are these messages Syncsort error messages ?

No they are SYNCTOOL message identifiers.

Probably problem is to do with version of the SyncSort product -- which version of SyncSort you are using?

Please , provide your SYNCTOOl cards, with the sample i/p and o/p records, and explain you problem!

My original post on top seems to have the explaination including the SYNCTOOL Cards,sample i/p & o/p records etc. missing. I am sorry but I am sure I had put it all in there...Sorry.
