Hi,

When I give S before my job name in spool an issue a command "N 1"/"N 2"/"N 3", it will take the control to different positions. I came to know that the N here stands for node. Can someone explain more about this? like on what basis the cursor is moved to a point?

Many thanks.

If by in SPOOL you mean SDSF n does not mean node it means next and will position you at the next dataset (ddname)

Not exactly the same thing, but I prefer typing a question mark before the job name and pressing Enter. SDSF shows a list of the files that are part of the job. You can select these files individually, which is somewhat like what you get using your method of 'N 2'.

Yes-- that's what I've been doing since I started with Mainframes, this N 1 etc. was new for me, Thanks. However, former option seems to be neat one.
