Will removing 5K of old modules be profitable?

One more query here.. Load Library Vs Load PDS

Our load library has 5K obselete modules out of the 20K modules. Can you please tell me if removing those 5K will be profitable? I mean what will the percentage reduction in CPU usage & Elapsed time approximately. Cos we need to analyse if the efforts put on identifying these obselete modules will give returns or not.

Hello,

Something that should have a dramatic payoff is to create a new library for the most used load modules (moving them out of the existing load lib). . . And place the new library at/near the top of the search list.

Make a backup of everything before doing this.

Once the performance issue is under control, then which modules might be deleted from the original dataset.
