Hello,

Is there a way in REXX to find out the current running stepname of a multi-step job? I would like invoke the REXX via Cobol.

Thanks

Hello,

Check this prior topic:
ibmmainframes.com/viewtopic.php?t=35300

Your cobol program can get the step name without using rexx. The referred topic is lookikng for dataset info, so you could eliminate all of the code after the job/step names have been retrieved.
