Hi All,
I am having so much of confusion regarding index and unique index. When do we declare unique index? When do we declare index? I know a table can have more index. What is the limit for that? Can we define the unique index and index together? I think if we mention primary key , then we declare index. So please explain me...i am preparing for DB2 Certification...but i do not have a clarity about index. please help me. I have gone through so many documents . but i could not understand.
Thanks,

Hello,
I believe this bit of understanding has become more difficult than necessary.
Indexes are a way to access data directly (keyed/indexed rather than sequential).
Some indexes may not contain duplicate entries. These are defined as unique indexes. |

Certification should follow qualification, not precede it. . .
You do yourself, your potential employer, and everyone who has been certified a great dis-service by even attending/taking/sitting for the certification exam before you are completely well-versed in all aspects of the product. . .
Said differently, beginners should not be certified |

this seems to be a the modus operandi:
get the interview answers for the job, get the job, ask others to do their work.
get the certification answers, get the certificate, get the job, ask others to do their job. |

I already completed 700 db2 udb certification.
In my experience i have seen people who has completed certification(some people) do not have much clarity(have something). Whatever we learn is little, there are plenty of things to learn in the world.
Thanks Anuj D I will go through the document . If i have a doubt i will come back.

In company , if any one working as Project Manager and Leader and a Sw engg, they will have a doubt about basics some times. It does not mean that they are not eligible to be a PM and PL.
It does not seem to be what you think.

I completely agree. . . However, this has nothing to do with certification (imho). Many of the very best managers i've worked with have doubts about certain technical specifics - but they are also not trying to be certified.

Do you have the info you want from your original question? |
