what/why is the pds created for every user ? is this created by system USERid.ISPF.ISPPROF.

What is the utilty of this pds members dataset..

The ISPPROF dataset contains all of your ISPF EDIT settings, variables that have been stored as PROFILE variables (shared from session to session), your PFKEY settings, and other information as needed by particular applications.

I agree with Superk.... UserId.ISPF.ISPFPROF contains all the EDIT settings....This is created when user logs in for the first time....User will not be able to login if this is not pre created automatically.... This will only be created if the user ID has TSO access and an Alias is defined for the User ID...

CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG....
