Hello dinodine and welcome to the forum,

At the top ofthe page is a link to "IBM Manuals". Among them are links to multiple current COBOL Language Reference manuals.

Suggest you become familiar and comfortable with the cobol documentation. It is always available and IBM keeps it current. If you find something in one of the manuals that is not clear, post what you found and your doubt about it.

Someone here will be able to clarify.
