Hi,

I did a NDM Copy to a different site which overlayed a existing dataset. Is there any way to get the old dataset back? will the NDM process take a backup of the file it was overlaying?

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Suggest you talk with "the other site". . . They may backup files when they are received. I'm not aware of anything automatic.

You might consider having the other site change the receiving dataset definition to a gdg so that receiving a dataset does not destroy the previous transmission.

Thanks for the info. the other site was not making a backup so i was wondering whether the process does it.
