Please give the reason for the split and more details on how the file needs to be split.

Are the output files to be VSAM or QSAM files. Are they to be 10 unique files or the original dataset spread over 10 volumes ?

Saurabh,

Various ways to split files with DFSORT are discussed in the "Split a file to n output files dynamically" and "Five ways to split a data set" Smart DFSORT Tricks at:

www.ibm.com/systems/support/storage/software/sort/mvs/tricks/

If that doesn't give you what you need, then you need to explain more clearly what exactly it is you want to do.
