Hello,
Given that all of the posts made are date/time-stamped, what would you think about allowing a user to change their own posts (or delete them) within the first 15 or 30 minutes after posting?
This would let folks correct or add things to a post without running the risk of them "re-writing history" later. |

This method is quite acceptable in most forums, mainly in news & professional forums. I think it is a good idea here, too.

We had this facility already, but we removed it to implement an anti-spam module.
I will try to get it back after discussing with my team. |

Fine. Here is my 1000nth post with the usual words.
"Yes, We have implemented ..., Please let me know the ..."
And now a user can edit his own post within the first 10 minutes of it being submitted. |

Hi Mac,
Thank you
Might it be helpful to "broadcast" this so people will know they are able to correct their post within 10 minutes?
Thanks again,

Thank you Dick & MC & CO for giving permissions to edit own post.
It is a good idea, sometime swe make mistakes, we will recognize it only after submitting it. Now we have 10 minutes of time to correct our mistakes.. |

Hello,
Try to edit and save/submit an "old" post and let us know what happens. |

It works fine, with my spelling and typing it is something that I need.
I just editted this and added this line. |

Its there to 'broadcast' this facility. But the actual reason is to avoid some unnecessary database queries. |
