Please use your eyes and brain before posting. What has this topic got to do with DFSORT / ICETOOL.

Topic moved.

Please clarify this sentence: "compile the adabas using cobol compiler"...

You can not compile "ADABAS" because you get the compiled modules from Software AG when you purchase ADABAS.

compilation/build procedures are heavily site dependent,
the first place to ask is Your support,

for overall info/logic the best source would be the manuals,

starting from ( for IBM )
www-03.ibm.com/systems/z/os/zos/bkserv/index.html#other_pubs

search the net for adabas docs

Hello,

Unless you are the first to use adabas on your system, there is already compile jcl set up for developer use.

You need to use the standard compile jcl for your system and not look to create "your own".

Hello,

You need to talk with others who have compiled code that uses adabas. Compile jcl is standard on a system and you need to use the standard jcl. If you cannot find the standard compile jcl, ask the adabas dba or support people.

The same is tru for an unload. The jcl already exists ono your system. Talk with the dba.
