We do FTPs from mainframes to a Unix server.
In the parameter card used in the JCl, what is the command delimiter (if there is any)? Do we always have to give only one command per line?
E.g:
Current card:
Login Password
ASCII
Put file file1
Exit
Can this be
Login Password (delim) ASCII (delim) Put file file1
Exit

Personally, I could find nothing documented, or by trial-and-error, except that, if you use them, the user-id and password can be on the same line. I guess that the input follows the conversational manner of FTP. |

Thats what I found too.. the userid and password can be on the same line ,
but after logging in , i could not put 2 subcommands on the same line. using the standard delims i know!!
Either the next command is disregarded or taken as a parameter for the first command.
Dunno what to do ( |

No, i guess you cant give more than 1 FTP subcommand on single line, based upon several FTP jobs that i have seen. |

The best I can come up with, if everything else is handled with default parameters, is three lines:
>ascii
>put
>quit
unless you eliminate the "quit" and just let the session time out. |
