Sequence Error while loading tapes

Hello

Can anybody explain what is a sequence error?
I have request from my customer. The problem is as follows:Our job creates a tape and send the tape details to customer. They have now a problem, that while loading these tapes into their system, it is failing by giving error "Sequence Error while loading tapes"

The information that you have given is about as useful as a chocolate coffee pot.

There are no error messages or codes given in your post.
What program creates the tapes - an in house program or a utility.
Ditto the reading process.
How is the data transported.
Single or multi volume.
Is the tape cataloged on both systems. If not is the volume sequence correct in the reading program.

Unless you bother to give some information this reply is about as good as it gets icon_evil.gif

Also, what has been tried to resolve this and what were the results.
